GameCon Australia Event Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and attending GameCon Australia events, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from attending our events or using our services. These terms apply to all visitors, attendees, exhibitors, and participants.
GameCon Australia reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued participation in our events following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Event Participation
Ticket Requirements: All attendees must possess valid tickets or passes for the duration of their stay at GameCon Australia venues. Tickets are non-transferable and must be presented upon request. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced without proof of purchase.
Age Restrictions: Some areas and activities may have age restrictions. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. GameCon Australia reserves the right to request identification to verify age compliance.
Behavior Standards: All attendees must conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate ejection from the venue without refund. This includes but is not limited to inappropriate language, physical aggression, or violation of others' personal space.
3. Prohibited Items and Activities
The following items are strictly prohibited at all GameCon Australia events: weapons of any kind (including replica weapons), illegal substances, outside food and beverages (except for medical purposes), professional recording equipment without prior authorization, and any items deemed dangerous by security personnel.
Prohibited activities include: unauthorized solicitation or distribution of materials, commercial photography or videography without permission, disruption of presentations or tournaments, gambling, and any activity that interferes with the enjoyment of other attendees.
4. Limitation of Liability
GameCon Australia, its organizers, sponsors, and venue partners shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, theft, or loss occurring during events. Attendees participate at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.
While we strive to provide accurate information about schedules, exhibitors, and activities, GameCon Australia reserves the right to make changes to the event program without notice. No refunds will be provided for changes to the schedule or cancellation of specific activities.
In no event shall GameCon Australia's total liability exceed the amount paid by the attendee for their ticket. This limitation applies to all claims, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All content displayed at GameCon Australia events, including but not limited to games, artwork, presentations, and promotional materials, remains the property of their respective owners. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any content is strictly prohibited.
By attending GameCon Australia events, you grant permission for your image and likeness to be captured in photographs, videos, and other media for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify event staff upon arrival.
6. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Event Cancellation: In the event that GameCon Australia is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or venue unavailability), full refunds will be provided within 30 business days.
Ticket Refunds: Tickets are generally non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by GameCon Australia. Requests for refunds due to personal circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to processing fees.
Schedule Changes: GameCon Australia reserves the right to modify event schedules, guest appearances, and activities without providing refunds for these changes. We will make every effort to communicate significant changes in advance through our official channels.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
GameCon Australia is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which should be read in conjunction with these Terms of Service.
By purchasing tickets and attending our events, you consent to the collection of necessary personal information for event management, security purposes, and communication regarding current and future GameCon Australia events.
8. Force Majeure
GameCon Australia shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under these terms if such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, pandemics, or other unforeseeable events.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your attendance at GameCon Australia events shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
